About a month ago my girlfriend opened an email attachment with the virus w32.magistr.24876@mmvirus. It infected about 30 of the C\Windows files. Norton alerted her that the files were infected and gave the option to repair/quarentene or delete the files. It couldn't repair the files and recommended that she quarentene them, but for some reason she deleted one of the files.(At least this was story she told me when i got home. The detail of what she did was pretty scetchy). I ran live update and then a complete scan with Norton and it sucessfully repaired all the files and now my system was apperently virus free! To make a long story a little shorter, now when i run msconfig a message appears... System Configuration Utility-Unable to lauch RegEnv32.exe. I hit OK and msconfig runs as it normally does. Can anyone tell me what RegEnv32.exe does, what this message means, and is there anything i can do to fix this, or is it even worth fixing? I appolagize for the long post. Thanks for any help provided!
Ryan

Seems that the file is missing...
Do a search for regsvr32.exe in the windows folder. It should be there. (I think it was c:\windows\command(\ebd) or c:\windows\system, I'm not sure.)
If it's not there, you'll need to copy it from another computer and put it there. Reboot, try to start msconfig and hope that the problem is solved...Johan
