Recovered File Fragments

OS: Win Me(laptop)
CPU/Ram: P3, 128Ram

hi.. i have a question. my laptop often has problem, thus i often run the scandisk.
and there is a lot of "Recovered File Fragments "
now all these file had actually occupied quite a number of space on my hard disk.

may i know that if it is safe to delete all the "Recovered File Fragments"?

That is all you can do with these files unless you know someone proficient with a hex editor and can peice them back together again.

You need to be seriously concerned about this.

Each of these "pieces" came from something. If might have been a blank spot on the disk or smack middle of win.com.

What this means is your OS is becoming corrupted due to pieces of the files dropping out.

Keep your data backed up and get ready to do a reinstall when the bottom drops out.

the file fragments are copies of the documents you were working on when the system crashed. they are not part of the OS.

just delete them & you will be OK.

You should try to fix the cause of the system crashes.

now can i safely delete the file
or i can only backup my data and format the computer?
