Comment:

-I'm trying to record the music from
my home stereo but not having any luck.
-I have sound blaster card and have a jack
plugged into the "IN" port.
-Now not sure where to plug it in my home
stereo so I can record the music.
-Is there any software that you can
recomend also?

Thanks

Here you go Ed... I use Audiograbber
1.82
try the free version first then decide if it's worth the $20.00.

I have had success by plugging one end of the cable into the headphone socket, and the other into line in on the soundcard.

If you are copying music from a CD to the PC this is how its done: Open Windows Media Player and insert a CD into the CD Drive on your PC. When the CD loads you will see the song list in the Player. On the top you will see a RED button saying Copy Music: click on it and the songs will be copied.

In WINAMP after loading the CD, click on ADD > DIR tab at left bottom. Highlight E: drive [your cd drive] and click OK. The song list will be entered into the Winamp. Highlight the songs you want to save and click on the right bottom tab LIST OPT > SAVE LIST. Save it in My Music folder in My Documents.

Dont change the folder location after saving. It wont be able to locate it later.

Musicmatch jukebox (a free program) will do the job. You can record vinyl, tapes, CD's, the radio or even your self singing. If you send me an E-mail I can send you details of how to get it and how to use it.
