I recently started having a problem with shutting down and rebooting. When I go to shut down my pc will go black and then a cursor will start blinking in approximately the lower right corner of the screen and will continue to do so until I unplug the machine. Upon rebooting I get the message " improper shutdown" and starts scandisk. My Compaq is about a year old with WIN ME. Any help would be appreciated.
