Real Player wont play Ram files

Hey people,
when im online and i want to listen to a ram music file real player opens but it wont play the error is unable to get a connection but i have tryed on various sites and still wont connect and play.
But the thing is that last night real player was playin ram files alright , so what might of gone wrong i have unistalled it and reinstalled it but still the same

Subject: Real Player wont burn Ram files Message: On a similar thread. I can play ram files but when I try to burn a cd, Real player puts up a box stating that ram is an unsupported media type and I should convert the ram to rm. Help required please. How do I do this?

Summary: Does anyone know if there are any other players that play rm files other than Realplayer? I have just downloaded RealOne and it won't run ( I get a PNVI3260.dll error) and nor will my old RealPlayer 8...
