I just installed a DIMM Pc 133 256 ram stick and have 2) 128 pc 133 sticks in there and it tells me that i only have 256 ram and not regristrating that there are 2 more 128's to a total of 512. some where it states that it supports 384 can the bios be tricked to use the extra ram??I am a beginner can you tell?

if it only suports 384 than thats it. but put the 256 in slot 1 and 1 128 stick in slot 2 and see if it works.

Looks like your computer will not accept high density RAM. The 256M that you are reading are from the two 128 Meg and not from the single 256. If you have 3 dimm slots and your system can support a Max of 384, then that only supports this theory that each slot can only take low density RAM up to 128Meg each (128x3) and not high density RAMS (256 and above).
