i have no sound right now, and i mean i'm pretty sure all my drivers are installed, and my sound card is working. But even if they aren't, and i am missing some drivers or some other component, will they come back naturally along with the sound, if i reformat my computer? thanks in advance

If you reformat, you will loose everything including the operating system, all your programs, data and drivers. You will have to be reinstall them all. Use Belarc Advisor or AIDA32 to determine what sound device you have if you don not know what it is. Then go to the manufacturer's driver website and download and install the latest ones for your soundcard.
