Col posted info about deleting web history. SMUOD responded and had a link to Http://burzurg.com. I am confused about this issue. I have some questions I would like to ask.
1. Why would this data need to be stored for ever?
2. Is there any links out there that can read these files?
3. What is a HKEY_ and what does it do?

I tried to do the deal using burzurg.com and I do not have a file in explorer bars with the same name and could not find any MRU files.

I really don't like the idea that this data is placed somewhere that is no easily accessable to delete. Who's idea was this anyway.

Thanks,

Noel Taylor

burzurq?

Is that the page you went to? Those intructions are for clearing the start/search/for files and folders history.

Later i found out about "http://www.pcmag.com/article/0,,s%3D1478&a%3D5293,00.asp">listzapper. This freeware product does the same thing and much more without having to mess around in the registry.

Delindex.bat was created by Renaissance Man. This freeware program deletes the index.dat files and clears out a bunch of other internet clutter.

I like autocomplete (search history&MRU's) in IE but i dont have any use for it in other applications.

I use delindex and listzapper together to remove surfing tracks.
