no i still havent gotten it to work even though i'm pretty sure i downloaded the correct driver....but in the folder where i unzipped the driver there are a few files like "data1" and "_sys1", and "user1", and when i try to unzip these..it says: "they can't be opened becasue they are not in the standard microsoft CAB format, the "signature bytes" required by Microsoft CAb specification are missing". im not sure if i even need those files, or whatever that means..i just know they came inside the same folder as my setup to install the driver. so im not sure..does this look familiar to you?

I think I know how to fix that link in the profile deal....Delete the b.exe file in the C:\Windows\ folder. If you can't delete it, do a Ctrl+Alt+Del and end the "B" task. I hope this helps...

By the way, the file is set to be loaded when windows starts up in the msconfig program. In the msconfig program, the title of the b.exe file is "Anti Virus." Don't be tricked...it's the virus.

Hey, I have the same thing (my sound works though). No virus scanner picked it up...Does anybody know the name of it?? I heard reinstalling AIM gets rid of it but AIM wouldnt touch the registry or Windows directory, so what is to stop it from having it become dormant for X amount of days then reinstall itself? Any and all info you guys can give me would me much appreciated.

here is how i got rid of it. Go to C:/WINDOWS and drag the b.exe file to the recycle bin. Empty the recycle bin. Go to your profile on AIM and the message will still be there (dont' freak out) so highlight it and delete it. After doing this sign out of AIM and disconnect your internet...then reconnect your internet, and sign back on AIM...it should be gone...hope it works for you like it did for me!
