quartz.dll error

hello , i have a problem with opening movie files and it says windows media player had caused an error on quartz.dll .
i have reinstalled wmp , and tried to overwrite the quartz file but the error still shows up , Any help would be appreciated . thanks.

1) Search the file "quartz.dll"
2) delete it.
3) Start --> Run --> type "sfc"
4) type the file name "quartz.dll" to repair
5) Done!

If still not ok, remove wmp and re-install.

Someone here had the same problem and I used your fix. Extracting the file with SFC fixed the problem and it wasn't even necessary to re-install Media Player. Thanks.
