You must have had this missing file at one time. When was the last time your PC started up without getting this message? Use your System Restore points and select a date before you started getting the error message. This might fix the problem of the missing psapi.dll file. To allow you to start your PC use the Safe Mode while starting. After you turn on your PC, statr depressing the F8 key at the top of the keyboard until you see options on the screen that include Safe Mode. Use your cursor keys to select Safe Mode and click the enter key once the Safe Mode option is selected. Once you are started in Safe Mode you can then use System Restore points. If you don't know what System Restore points are use you Help function while in the Safe Mode to find it.

You have inadvertently downloaded and installed CoolWebSearch or one of its variants (a browser hijacker). The best way to get rid of it is to download to and run from your desktop, CW-SHREDDER. If you get an error about a missing file MSVBVM60.DLL, install this first: MS-Patch . All downloads are virus free and safe. MrC

Treesha,
Are sure you don't mean "Psapi.dll"-with a P instead of the second S there?
Double check-it's probably psapi.dll....
If so,then go to a site called "DLL WORLD",(just type dll world into your browser),and look in the alphabetical list there under P-download it and follow the instructions. If you have any problems, just download the dll-then create a new folder, rename it "DLL'S"(or whatever you want)-stick it in there, and your computer should automatically detect it-and voila! (If you know which program it is missing from, you can just move the dll directly into that program's folder.)

Hope it helps!
