I have a big problem. Ihave recently upgraded Win 98 with Win Me. Everything works ok, except modem. Win ME always found PCI communication device instead of modem. Does anybody know what's wrong?

Goto the device manager and update the driver for the "PCI communication device" using your usr modem driver. I have a usr modem and it detected it the same way. Installed the driver and am writing this connecting to the internet using the modem right now. Windows 98 also detects tons of winmodems this way. Good Luck Post if you have more problems.

The only problem with Windows Me is my modem. I have to reinstall my modem driver everytime I reboot my computer.

I had this problem & used the advice on the Microsoft website to fully remove the modem from the registry 7 re-installed. It made no difference. Nor did physically removing the modem. So I got a new one (not a winmodem - a Zoom 56K actually) & it worked first time - no problems at all!
