Problems with some Web sites.

Hello, The problem I am having is with buy.com and hotmail. When I go to buy.com web site. The first page ask for a country. When I selected USA and hit enter, the page does not advance to the next page. It sits there and then after awhile I get kicked off the net or I just can't go to any other web sites. Sometimes when trying to send mail on hotmail I get the same thing. These are the only 2 sites that I am having a problem with, (strange). Does anyone know what could possibly cause this problem. I have gotton onto buy.com by using a friends computer. I am using IE v.5.50.4522.1800 I thought it could be IE causing the problem, but I downloaded and tried Opera and the same thing happened. Is there something on www.buy.com site that could cause this problem?
