My husband decided to play around with the settings with my kazaa and I can't seem to be able to fix it. Everytime I try to connect a message appears that says: "The SOCKS server name or address you entered could not be found etc..." do any of you know how to fix this? I tried to remove Kazaa from my computer and reinstall and it still does not work. Help!! Kris

Get rid of Kazaa (and all it's Spyware) completely. It just causes big problems...

Kris,when you un-installed did you go to Find Files And Folders and remove those entries,be careful you dont remove the folder that contains your mp3,s or videos,when downloading those I always make a new folder in My Documents to download to and when it gets to about 650MB I make a new folder they are easier to back up and mamage that way..also go into the registry and remove any reference to Kazaa.What connection do you use Dialup,broadband or,,also are you behind a firewall?.Let us know maybe someone will have an answer.

hello in kazaa goto tools,options,conectins and and uncheck use proxie server or conection. this will fix it. as posted above you should complutely uninstall kazaa and get spy ware free kazaa light but dont do the up grade when you have instalded kazaa lite or you are right back where you are now search m.e forum for how to completely remove kazaa i posted this indetial befor have a nice day Off Topic Forum
