I finally downloaded IE 6.0. It is on my desktop, Icon. I went to the internet, closed NAV auto protect, and my spyware, and clicked on resume setup. It began to download all the files, I had to reboot, went to the internet to finish the download, it was almost complete when a window pops up, "setup was unable to download all the components, close all applications and try running again." I did this several times with the same results. Please help!!!!!!!!!!
Howard

Hello Howard,
I'll repeat something I asked before.
"Back to this CD you ordered. Explain about that in detail. Is it from MS, and does it contain the IE6 browser setup files? yes-no Look on the CD for ie6setup.exe If you find it, tell what other files are in that same folder it's in, ok"
You may, may have all the files you need on that CD. Which means, you wouldn't have to download anything. Well, unless there is something that you wanted, that wasn't included in the install package. Get to that later.
You say you downloaded it from PM. If that's the case I don't/didn't think you would need to be connected to install. (well shouldn't) That would be another issue.
Do a search on your hard drive, drive c:\, for ie6setup.exe Also do one on this CD you're talking about. If it's found, tell where it's found, the name of the folder it's in, and at least five of the file names in that folder. Hmm, can you say run on :-)
With all the things that have or haven't been done. It's hard to tell were exactly, you're at in all this, sorry.
What is the exact version of your IE, and any service packs (Sp). Thanks

may be u could try an offline install.
just use u'r digit/chip magazine cd to install IE. If u r not from india, try PC world cd's to install. if u dont have it, borrow it from u'r neighbour hood kid.good luck.
rhi.
