We have a windowsNT 4.0 Server which we generally use Win95 and Win98 pcs to access. We have recently purchased a number of Win ME and Win2000 pro machines but we have problems browsing the network with these machines. We are using a number of differennt NICs in these new machines. If we map a drive to a particular area this works fine but when we use explorer sometimes it takes between 30secs and 5 minutes to open a folder. Occasionally the machine will not recover from an explore and it needs to be restarted. We use TCP/IP with DHCP. Can anyone shed some light on this subject. Thanks.
