problem with program icons

My problem is all my program icons have the "my computer" icon on top of it. I can still see the actual program icons behind all the "mycomputer" icons. Does anyone know how i can display back my program icons?

Try downloading tweakui 1.33 from microsoft. The easiest place to download is from www.winfiles.com and search for tweakiu. This control panel applet "tweaks" a variety of settings normally only configureable by editing the registry.

I agree with Barry on this problem you are having. When you get that Tweak UI program, select the tab named "Repair", after you are there select "Repair Icons" and hit the "Repair Now" button. Watch in awww...as your icons rebuild and repair themselves before your eyes. Amaaazing...

Guyz get WinBoost2OOO ! thiz wud end all your tweak problems and other problems. i am happy with it.
I downloaded tweakui 1.33 from microsoft as suggested with no problem. However, when I try to open tweakiu.exe I get an Unzip prompt. I unzip this file and it places about 5 tweak files in the Window/Temp folder, and no icon in my Control Panel. I can't figure out where I go to use this program. Help!

Jeez man...click on file tweakui.inf in that temp directory with right [as opposed to "left" not to "wrong"] mouse button, and click "install". then close the right [aforemensioned] window that opened and TweakUi is installed, problem solved. ;-) Cheerio.
