I am running Norton Anti-Virus 2000 (version 6.0.3.24)on Windows ME. I tried doing a live update and also downloading the file and then running it. Neither works.
When I do a live update, I get a message which says "Live Update could not uncompress the list of available updates. The update list somehow got corrupted. You need to run LiveUpdate again to get a new update list"
Each time I try, I get the same response.
I then downloaded file 0922i32.exe. When I try to install this, I get something called SARC Intelligent Updater coming up.
When I press OK, I get "Error reading zip file directory. This could be due to not enough memory for proper operation of Intelligent Updater"
I have 128 megabytes of RAM and something like 2Gb of spare hard disk space.
I am totally baffled and wonder if anyone on the forum can offer any help.

I had to upgrade to NAV 2001, which I couldn't do over the internet according to Symantec Tech Support. NAV 2000 is not compatible with WindowsMe. I got 2001 yesterday in the mail...seems to be working okay, but even the upgrades are expensive.
