I had started out with Windows 2000 PRO and Windows ME. I used a system restore on my Compaq system and I was reverted back to Windows 9X without any settings. I went and reinstalled Windows ME and Windows ME chinese edition. I need to run them together so i got a boot.ini file from a friend and put that in. The boot.ini file was for Windows 2000 PRO with networking supprt and did not work well. when i went to adjust the boot.ini file i rebooted the computer and it started asking me if i wanted to run windows 2000 pro or windows 2000 pro networking and i go to either and it asks for a ntoskrnl32. there is no ntoskrnl32 cause we dont have a network running for this computer. but we can no longer run any os or access any options. if you have any advice or help please post. thanks for your time. bye
