I have a Genius Colourpage-view scanner and an epson printer. Until recently running both from lpt1. When problems started to occur I was told to put in a SCANPORT in a spare ISA SLOT and run it from there. I am trying that now but I cannot get my machine to find the new port. I have been told I may need a driver / prog called EPINST-E.exe. Where will I get this from. All help much appreciated.Thanks.

Older scanners do not work well if at all with ME. ME does not like 16 bit cards which I am sure SCANPORT is.
Your will probably need to purchase a new scanner.

Thanks Eric, It was working until recently then I started to get an error message on my printer "out of paper" and I could not print until I disconected the scanner and took it out of the chain and the printer then worked fine. It will scan no probs on its own but I dont want the hassle of disconecting / reconecting bits when I want to scan and print.
