Hi,
I'm not sure where to start with my problem. I got a new hardrive and installed ME on it.
After this I went to install my Lexmark X 1150 all in one printer. When I plug the printer into the USB port everything works as usual and windows adds the new hardeware.
When I put the printer's installation CD in I press install to start the installation then I get this message:
"there is no valid port for the driver"
I don't know whats wrong. The only thing I can think of is a compatability issue between the mother board and OS. Am I completely wrong? Is there a solution to this?

Try uninstalling any software that has been installed already for the printer. Then instal the software from the CD and do not connect the printer to the USB port until the installation program asks for it - that is the way USB printers are usually installed in ME.
If this doesn't work, go to the Lexmark site and see if there is any software specifically for the printer and Windows ME and download that and start again.
