print job in queue doesn't print!

I have a Canon BJC5100 printer which hasn't been used in a few months. When I tried to print recently, the print job appears in the queue and then disappears as it always does, but nothing comes out from the printer. What's up?

andrewshim, Reset the cables to your printer. Make sure the printer is not jammed with paper. If the above does not clear your printing problem, reinstall your printer connection.
From the Desktop, select Start > Settings > Printers. Click on Add Printer and follow the prompts.

This has happened to me a few times on my winME PC. Do not know what the problem is but always when I boot up the next day the queue comes up on the monitor and then it will print. The other alternative might be to just to shut down and boot back up. Hope this helps you.
