Power Management for windows me

my power management wont kick in when im online but works well when im offline. i want it to go to sleep when im away from the computer (when im doing stuff around the house i just leave it connected) tried all the settings...but dont know what...if anyone has had this problem and found out how to fix it...please let me know what you did to get it fixed...

If you know you are going to be away for awhile, you could try start>shutdown>standby
