power down when partitioning-2nd

Thanks for the replies people;
Now, the problem is that when I try to do FDISK at the C prompt, I get a "bad command or filename" reply. In fact I get that to almost anything I type.
I did use P. Magic and I did the rescue disks before I ventured with partitioning but now I don't know what to do.
I managed to get the P.Magic screen on the monitor but in the places where the drive letters should be there are only *.
At a point I got the message:
"exit Part.Magic and run the config.bat program in the btmagic.pq directory.
I can not find this directory.
Oh I wish I knew more but I gess this is the only way to learn.
Please help...

fdisk can erase your hard drives,mbr, so be careful with that. since you don't have a win-me cd to reinstall.

FDISK at the C prompt

FDISK is on the startup disk and is accessed from the A:\ prompt.

If you dont have an operating system cd-rom you shouldnt be partitioning as its possible you could lose everything.
