Comment:

I just installed Zone Alarm for a firewall. I have it configured for maximum protection. I went to www.grc.com to test my ports and they are all stealth except port 21, that remained open. Is there any way to close that port or make it invisible ?

Thanks,
Charlie

Unless your computer is an FTP server, the firewall is working well as it is.Port 20 is the FTP data port and port 21 is the FTP control port.Good luck.

charlie,

Hmm, might set it(IE). Under Allow server DisallowX Local: and Internet: If you already haven't.

Also, Block local and internet servers.
Worth a try. Oh, by chance are you using Passive FTP? Internet Options, Advanced(tab). Just curious, about that last one.
