Whenever I go to a webpage that has a midi playing I get an error message saying, "Plug-in did not initialize properly." I clicked on the emblem where there is usually a device to stop music play, pause, etc., and it says,"Plug-in found, but an error in the plug-in has occured." I went to my Device Manager in the control panel and it states that all plug-in devices are working properly. I even went as far as to update the drivers, with no results. The music still plays on the webpage, but only one time instead of in a loop of "10". (At least it is supposed to do 10 on my webpages, I don't know about others that people have built) It is really just the principal, not to mention, I am tired of getting an error message whenever I go to any page with music. Anyone have any suggestions? I have a Compaq Presario, am using Windows Me, and have the ESS Allegro sound driver. I might add this just started 2 days ago. (And I do not have a CD for Windows, it was preinstalled)........................... I posted this message once before, and went to the multimedia icon in my control panel as instructed, but the advice did not resolve the issue, for I only have one midi device listed. Since I posted last, I have also restored my computer through MS-DOS, just in case I had done something to cause this, but needless to say that did not work either. Someone out there please have some advice that will fix this. |
