I have installed hp 3400c scanner and when i try to scan it says scanner not found so i bought a HP 2200c scanner installed it message comes up the same scanner not found. I spent 8 hours on phone with HP they cant solve my problem. I had to install 6 to 8 times for it to even except the scanner but keeps saying scanner not found.I have Windows Me. I sure would appreciate any help you are able to give me. I'm lost without my scanner. Thank You

Have you tried here for drivers for ME Idont know if it will help but it is worth a try http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpscanjet228416_swen.html copy and paste into address bar

I have an HP scanner, Windows ME. When I called HP, they had me go into My Computer, Device Manager and delete the scanner from the list of hardware (this was AFTER all installation steps were done). I then restarted the computer and the device was "found". Hope it wroks for you.
