When exiting above mentioned program Pip, receive a message "Pip caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL IF PROBLEM PERSIST TRY RESTARTING COMPUTER" Then tha mesage box will not close no matter how many times the close button is pressed. have unninstalled and re-installed the program three times to no avail any body have a suggestion.

The correc name of the program is "Microsoft Picture It! Publishing 2001" I guess i mus have exceeded the limit in the subject box.

I had this same problem. I have an HP Deskjet 990Cse printer and had to update my printer driver. Go to the Picture Website. If you have one of the printers listed, download and install the new driver. If you're running Norton AV, go into the options section and disable scripting.

Thanks Bill, I had ventured to another search engine and it led me to an earlier Cnet thread, the diagnosis was the same as you illustrated. Norton's script blocking. Again, thank You and CNet. Roberto.
