Hi all,

The phone dialer in ME only allows you to 'dial' a number, and when answered by the recipient you have to pick up the phone to converse.

I would like to use my headset to speak to whoever instead of using the land line phone, so my question is, is there a piece of software that will allow me to do this or will I have to install a piece of hardware to perform this function?

Many thanks,
Steve M

I have a learn German CD-ROM, and with that I use a microphone plugged into the input on the soundcard at the back of the PC. I also have a HI-FI connected to play my music through, MP3's off the hard drive & stuff. This is connected to the soundcard's output.
I would think you can use the above 'in & out' put sockets for your phone. You will have to try it and see. NB you have to change the input on the soundcard from D: drive to mic. The audio mixer icon is at the bottom of the screen, open this and select the tab under 'record control' for mic input.
