PDF files crash my computer

Every time I try to download a PDF file my computer crashes. I have removed and reinstalled Adobe and it doesn't help!

You could try reinstalling v6 - otherwise, v5 and earlier is available from Oldversion.

Worked my way down to version 4 and it does just fine.

6 use to work but guess it doesn't matter. BTW I tried downloading 6 several times before I posted.

Glad to help, handy site that Oldversion.

Had to upgrade to Acrobat5 in order to read some newer PDF files - at least I already had it bundled on a CD.
