sirbigb1, seems to me that your machine could care less which card you choose to use. It's only concern is that you have the proper drivers for your selection. Another thing you might look into is to determine if they make an adapter which will allow you to 'piggyback' devices on the same bus. I know there are such critters for phone lines, electrical outlets, etc. It really shouldn't matter how many devices there are since you can only use 1 device at a time. The only critical thing would seem to be to make sure the device is 'exposed' to the bus so it can determine when it is being addressed. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Why not buy a USB Hub that is external. This has a big advantage over the PCI hub as you use house power for the USB plug-ins and not overload the PC power. I use both internal and external. For the internal, I was lucky, with no more PCI slots I removed the telephone modem which I really don't need as I use a cable modem and a seperate fax machine. I use the internal USBs for the light stuff, mouse, camera, keyboard and the external for printers and any power grabbers. Good luck

Ralph, Thanks for that I never ever thought of that, Thanks again out I go to get an external Hub................
Summary: I removed the soundcard that came with my Compaq Deskpro and went to go put in a new Soundblaster PCI 128...it doesn't fit in either of the 2 available PCI slots. When I go to fit it in; it won't pop ...
Summary: Be brave - open the tower Be earthed - touch a radiator or the like... Look inside the tower - you will no doubt have some PCI slots - thin white things where something like your modem is attached AGP...
