Pc Only Boots In Safe Mode

I cannot Get my pc to boot in normal mode. i keep getting error msgs, and it freezes up when i try to boot in normal mode. for more info, please e-mail me as soon as possible and help me if you can.

In safe mode go to Start Run, type in msconfig , in sys config utility check selective startup. take off check mark from load startup group items. in startup tab check sys tray scan registry and task monitor, press ok and restart your computer it will boot into normal mode.

This is not a solution - this is simply to let you know that you are not alone. I have the same problem with the added bonus of a blank desktop with no icons, no task bar, no Start button which means that I can't reload an earlier version of the registry which is the usual solution to such problems. And of course scanreg is now scanregw which can only be run from within Windows - sucks big time!
