i need some serious help with my mic. it plugged in .. but it broadcasts sound right through my speakers.. and i know its possible to stop this but i totally forgot how.. i just want to record with out this being an issue. thanks in advance

is the mic plugged into the correct jack? and in volume controls is the mono box muted " IF IT AINT BROKE LEAVE IT ALONE "
