Can someone tell me how to password protect ME on bootup? The windows prompt is easily defeated and i would just like to restrict access on bootup.

It's not a Windows specific question - check the machine's BIOS for password features. Those are fairly secure, short of opening the chassis and resetting the CMOS

Sure - the trouble with Windows passwords on DOS based versions is that they can be bypassed (esc) or else just deleted during a DOS session. BIOS passwords are in effect before the boot sequence
