Since formatting and reloading ME, I am now left with that annoying log in password window before I can carry on booting up.
I have tried everything I can think of to remove same...renamed pwl's to old, used the logon tab in TweakUI, NOT entered a password in the box ect, but all to no affect.
The other obvious option is to go to control panel and do it through the 'password' facility, and this is where the problem lies, I have no password icon (the keys)in control panel, I've no idea why ME did not install it, so does anybody have any idea on how or if I can get the icon back and hopefuly then get rid of the logon window.

You probably did this too,but just to make sure...Did you uncheck "clear last user at logon" under the paranoia tab in TweakUI?
