partition magic and ME

I downloaded P.M. 6 fine.. however it says it has to go to Dos Mode to finish some things.. of course ME does not have a dos mode and thus Windows just restarts with no changes made... any ideas?

Where did you find Partition magic 6 for download ? There is a patch out for being able to boot to dos with ME, I'll see if I can find it again.

My PM6 creates a boot disk and writes it to C:\. It adds an entry to the boot.ini and blammo at reboot partition magic runs in it's own little DOS mode. I suppose that you are running a WAREZ version and some of it's functinality is gone or it contains a virus?? Uninstall it and reinstall it first after that buy the real version. If you did buy it than accept my appology! If it's WAREZ than you got what you paid for!

No.. this is not a Warez version. Did you have to set something in your program that told it to write to the boot.ini?

ME does have dos, it just hides it so you think it's stable like 2k.

Crisis here. Lost a 30GB partition after a resizing incident with partition magic; it locked it dos, and partition magic was on my 30gb partition so what now? Not on ME, on 98.
