I started letting my eleven year old daughter use my PC ,to access the internet ,I would sign her in and then watched her to make sure she was'nt going to the wrong places ,she was accessing the cartoon network ,andd other kids sites ,I never gave her the password so I would have to log her in .Then I started getting more lax ,not staying at PC and watching everymove ,a couple of weeks later I started gettting these emails from ,"boys" asking "do you want to be my friend" .I went into my TIF and seen that she had started going to a web site called myspace.com, it says at the web site its for 18 years or older ,I confronted my daughter and she told me when at a girlfriends house that had her own PC in her bedroom w/ internet access ,she showed my daughter the web site ,where you talk to others ,I was angry ,told her friends parents very politely that them letting their eleven year old have her own PC ,with online access uncontrolled was not very good idea at all ! Now Iam back to watching every move ! I want her to know how to use the computer for school projects and perhaps a healthy hobbie, however you just cannot take your eyes off the PC when they are on the net ! How many times have you had a popup with a link to a porn site ? I now have a popup blocker however B/4 I did ,use to get them all the time ! Show your kids fun places for them ,or better yet keep them off the net and get then a educational software application that makes learning fun !
Take Care Nick

Thanks for that Nick. Just shows that parents can never be too careful.

This myspace deal has become a huge problem because of molesters. There has been numerous TV reports and crimes related to this site and others

PARENTS TAKE CARE of your KIDS

DO NOT let an underage child use a computer in a private room, and learn to monitor their internet history.
