Hello Everyone.
I have Win Me, P2 450 mhz, Asus P133 P3V4X Slot 1 Motherboard, 128 Ram, 30GB & 40 GB Harddrives & Matrox 32mb Video Card. I want to upgrade my P2 450mhz proccessor. How High can I go with this motherboard? Someone told me only P3 733mhz. Can someone verify this with the correct speed? If I do get the correct proccessor how do I go about installing this? Do I just remove the case and unplug the P2 450mhz processor and plug the P3 ???mhz processor in? Then when I power the machine I will see P3 ???mhz. Can someone tell me the correct steps to install a new processor and what else must I purchase ex: heat sink, fan or cables. So I guess I have 3 questions:
1. How high can I go with this motherboard?
2. How do I install this new processor?
3. What exactly else do I need to purchase?
If someone can answer only one question please post. I really need to upgrade cuz I need to do this soon!
Please and Thank you for all your help!

your best bet is to contact the manufacturer asus for how much the board can support there may be a bios update which can increase your clock speed.

with regards to advice about where to buy ebay or yahoo auctions are your best bet.
