Strange problem, with OE just started this recently sends email no problem but when I try to receive it tells me my password is wrong it will have had to send my password to enable it to send the email so why would there be a problem with sending it to the pop3 server to allow mail to be received on my machine. It also seems to be happening with Outlook I set it up and the same thing happens with it password incorrect but only to receive emails not to send them.

sapphire125, you may indeed have gotten a corrupted bit of memory that needs to be fixed. It may also be some sort of scam to get your password. Be sure it's for real and go from there. My guess is a corrupt cookie containing erroneous info. When the proggie(s) compare the stored password with their info, it's different. HTH. Ed in Texas.
