I can't find anywhere that holds the email files. Not in the program directory. Just want all the emails that have been sent to be to be saved and all my sent email copies saved also so i can look back on them. Thanks for your help if u know the answer. Also if you know where the email files are stored for XP/2000 i'd appreciate it also so I can backup my email files on my laptop as well.

1 more question under this topic that i just came up with about 2 min ago while checking my email. I got an email with an attachment on it. No text.
From: Himself
To: DarlingNow you know how in outtlook you select the message with one click and it comes in the window frame on the bottom and u see the message. Well when i click this the download attachment window pops up immediately. I've never had that happen before so i'm assuming they used some kinda trick to more successfully send their viruses. I don't ahve a virus scanner on there yet because some reason norton always screws up my comps. But i'm assuming this is a virus, when i select the email the "Open Attachment Warning" appears and says "c:
\windows\temporary internet files\content.ie5\rqqlyx9d\menu.scr"If i'm right .scr files are screensavor files right? which can also be viruses. Any ways does anyone have any idea what it might be? I've uploaded the file here
http://www.angelfire.com/amiga/s1r1us/menu.scr
but DO NOT open it because i think its definately a virus. Nobody makes an email automatically open up the attachment download window unless they are trying to do something bad. Just would like it if someone scanned it and could tell me what virus it is. Also is there any way to find out their email address since it only says "himself" in the from title.

hello
its a virus the klez dont open it if you did goto housecall anti virus and do an online scan free.and the klez disables your
installed anti virus programs
have a nice day and try free avg anti virus program. buggy but better than none

Spot on Dave...
Sirius - get FREE AVG anti virus program (very good) from following site:

Mark

Forgot to say, AVG Antivirus uses a plugin to scan your email (in and out going) if you have Outlook Express. I can definitely recommend it.

Remove the pre-veiw pane in Outlook Express and never open any attachments from someone you dont know. Of course with Klez , even that rule on the attachments does not apply , since Klez will use others address book to send out the virus ! Also in Windows Me you must disable the system restore to purge the virus from the Restore\Temp folder. Reboot , and the run a full hard drive scan. If uyou still have Klez on your system , you can go to symantecs web site and download the Klez removal tool for free !
Good Luck,Nick

Reason I don't use a virus scanner is I always get some type of error that locks up my system and doesn't allow me to boot up into windows. Will just freeze in dos.
