Recently have become unable to SEND email through
Outlook Express 6.0 using Hotmail account. I can
receive and manage downloaded emails, but can not
send. Following Hotmail online and support staff
help instructions did not correct problem
(including deleting hotmail account from OE and
creating a new OE/hotmail account). Error message
is:"The server does not support the required HTTP
methods. Account: 'Hotmail', Server:
Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Method Not
Allowed', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC35"Any help or links to helpful sites would be
appreciated.

Tonya, with what I sent you should fix it, I just went thru all of that myself, I know its long but had several questions, but your question is at the bottom. Sue

This is a follow-up to my previous post.
I wish I could say I knew what fixed the problem. My husband claims he spent 30 minutes deleting and then creating my Hotmail account through Outlook Express.
He created his own Hotmail account through Outlook Express and was able to send & receive so he was ready to assume the problem was my Hotmail account.
He got the bright idea to recreate my account once more (after he had success sending through his account). Suddenly, I was able to send again. I'm now actually able to control my Hotmail folders through Outlook Express (including emptying the 'Deleted Items' folder). It was a quirk I simply dealt with before.
I wish I could give a more straight-forward reason for it working, but that's the best I can do. Thanks to everyone for your attempts to help, but nothing seemed to work. Not to set off a huge debate, but perhaps by successfully creating a different hotmail account in OE, whatever little bug that caused me weeks of headache and frustration was fixed.
