I recently downloaded IE 6.0. Included is Outlook Express 6. I can't enable spell-check. I've gone to "tools", "options"...but no "spell" tab or option. There's a dim icon on the Toolbar, but it's not clickable. Is spell-check an option in Outlook express???

When you are composing a new message you can check spelling by clicking tools button and first line should be spelling button.

I read somewhere that in order to get spell check to work you can install a program like Microsoft Word that comes with spell check. After the install Outlook Express will detect Word and automatically use Words spell check when you click the spell check button in Outlook Express. I have tried this and it does work. Your next question may be ‘where can I download MS Word?’ Sorry, can’t help you there. :(

AutoSpell for Outlook Express from http://www.spellchecker.com/personal/ is cheaper than MS Word to purchase (US$15.00), and it fully intergrates into Outlook Express. It also puts spellchecking into Notepad.

I have outlook express 6.0 and under tools/options/spelling the is an option to always check spelling before sending. Spelling is at the top when you click options. it's right above general. Does yours have this listed? There is no check mark in mine, but you can check it if you want it to automatically check your spelling.

I have Outlook Express 6 and if I go to Options, Tools, bang; there is no Spelling tab in Tools.
