how do reset my Outlook Express 6 to open mail without using Microsoft Word? Allot of my emails arive with the message as an attachment that opens in Microsoft Word. It is hard to read the message with all of the paths encrypted into the message.

Nettie, when it tries to use Word, see if the attachment will open using IE (by RIGHTCLICKING and choosing 'open with'). Seems that'll open most things and if it works, there's an option to 'always use'. That'll get rid of Word if that's what you want. HTH. Ed in Texas.

Thanx Ed but I have already tried that. The only options I have when I right click on the attachment is,"open,save as, or save all" Other options are greyed out. My attachments used to open with "picture preview" I can't figure this out. Messages with pictures included in the body doesn't show at all! please help.
