Subject: Olympus D520 How to group images/1/page |
Comment: I just got an OlympusD520 Digital camera & am happy with it. I can get the camera plugged into the computer, have even scanned pictures & emailed them,(which these took too long) What my problems are at present is a few things: 1) How to put different images into smaller pictures, like wallet size for example on one page. (I assume they have to be put into Jpeg first.) I want to email them but not wanting it to take too long to download, and then print them out on one page. Like a collage. 2)Which program should I use? 3) Can you recommend any printed out manual that would be best for what I want? I have have printed out all sorts of different instructions from Olympus Camedia, Canon Photo Stich, ZoomBrowse, Photo Record from Canon (I have a Canon printer) these came with the printer. Then I have Windows ME and see there is a Kodax Imaging. All I want is just to do a couple of simple tasks but I need to know what sequence. Do you have any suggestions. I am really frustrated. Any suggestions or help would be aprpeciated.

Reply: (edit)You can use just about any photo program to do what you want, even the basic windows program (Paint). Open your picture with Paint (start, programs, accessories. Paint). Then open the image you want to resize, (at the top of your opened picture), select image then Stretch/Skew. If you want it smaller just change it from 100% to 50% (or whatever size you want). Then click file save as and save it as a jpeg, gif, bmp or whatever format you want. Cheers

Reply: (edit)Spoonter, Thank you for getting back to me so fast. I will definitely work with this and let you know how it works for me. I also had Adobe Photo Deluxe and found out that was way too advanced for me, so I have deleted that.I also used the Forum with Olympus and it seems to take weeks to get an answer from them. So, Again Thank you. Lynnie

Reply: (edit)Well, I got thru Paint, stretch/skew and picture up on screen, then I did another, but seemed to lose the first picture. I have them originaly stored in My documents in My Pictures.(Also in Jpeg) Now how do I get them onto one page (6 or 8 pictures) and save them, so I can email them or print.? Isnt there a simple manual that could help me on this.? I hate to keep bothering all of you. I feel so stupid. Lynnie

Reply: (edit)Lynnie, I have been to the pub tonight, so I can't answer any questions that may require some brain cells. I will look at your question tomorrow and you will get an answer which will be 'just what the doctor ordered' though it may may not be from me. Hang in there.

Reply: (edit)I can't believe I'm giving a testimonial for a Micro$oft product, but I really like their Picture It!- It's pretty easy to use and has quite a few bells and whistles...
