Old Ver. Zone Alarm- No Install

I tried to install an old version of Zone Alarm, specifically 5.5. I couldn't do it even after compeletly and totally removing ZA 6.1. It just hung after the setup program was installing the files, actually the files were never really installed. I got nothingness, nothing happened. Does Zone Labs forbid you to go back once you have the latest version? The new version 6.0 and 6.1 are really bad, really slows down your computer and causes crashes, very bad. ZA 5.0 and 5.5 were much more stable... Any suggestions on how to install the older versions??
