Hi,I am looking to upgrade but my compurter is old.I use windows me 98-2000.I would like to buy a new monitor but don't no what would work with my modem. Is there enyone who can help.eny advice would be apreciated. patty

The only info you give on your computer is the monitor. It looks to be a fairly good one so unless it's beginnning to fail I doubt you'd find any improvement by replacing it.
A lot is going to depend on your video card--the thing the monitor connects to on your computer. Some of those are on the motherboard and others are separate cards you install in one of the slots. But usually even if you have one of the on-board video adapters you can add a card for better performance. Before we could recommend anything like that it'd help to know what kind of video card you have now and how much video memory it has.
Other upgrades to your PC would be more system ram and a larger hard drive. But unless your current drive is failing or is getting full you don't really need to get hard drive.
The amount of system ram you could add would depend on how much you have now and the maximum amount your motherboard can handle.
If you have (or add) sufficient ram you may be able to install XP.
So it would help to know more about your PC and anything specific you want done. But consider that putting money in upgrading what you've got might be better spent on a new(er) PC.
Oh, and the modem is the thing connecting your computer to the internet when using a phone line. There are no compatibility concerns with a modem and monitor.

What DAVE said...
I worked on a Compaq Presario 5002US Sunday that used this monitor. The machine only needed a good cleaning inside (shutting down when the weather in central California hit 95°F Sunday) but, was in the original configuration with 64Mb memory. To make the story short, I added 128Mb and Windows Me performance joined the 21st century.
CD writer, digital camera software, pen drives, etc work as advertised now.
Point is; if we know the exact model of your system and/or motherboard, memory, video card you have, we can be of much more help.
I explained to the owner of the Presario that she shouldn't spend more than about 20 bucks on upgrades. More money than that would be better saved toward a newer system.
