I did an online Symantec virus scan and it gave me this:
c:\web.exe is infected with Trojan Horse
c:\Program Files\Outlook Express\outl32c.exe is infected with Backdoor.Jeem
c:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe is infected with PWSteal.Trojan
c:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\hooks.dll is infected with Trojan Horse
c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\mcireg.dll is infected with Keylogger.TrojanIs it ok to delete these files? Or what should I do?

xRagnarokx, seems like it should be ok to delete the infected files. Doesn't the scanner have an option to fix?

You can use an antivirus like FPROT from dos to repair the files that are used by your programs.Only the malware files will be removed, things like backdoor.A good antivirus should be able to make the difference between repair and delete.Good luck.

If you want to use FPROT on a regular basis, make a file called fprot.bat in a word pad with the following lines.
c:
cd fprot
f-prot /hard /auto /disinf /delete
Save as C:\fprot.bat.In this example the fprot program is in the folder(or directory) called fprot on the C drive.Boot with a boot disk with plain dos or not and if the fprot.bat is at the root of C drive with the folder fprot, type(press enter after each command line):
C:
fprot
The program will scan and apply corrective measures all by itself.Find the program at:
http://www.f-prot.com/download/download_fpdos.html
The update for virus signature files
http://www.f-prot.com/download/home_user/
You can use Winzip to extract the updates to fprot folder by giving the path to this folder(C:\fprot) in Winzip(use the Extract icon at the top of the Winzip interface).
Good luck.
