Just bought a computer with the aforementioned. It seems a bit choppy to me at times, audio and video. Does anyone have any experience with it? Limitations? Positives? Would be nice to have feedback.

What would be a good (cheap) alternative? I've never installed one before, so I am pretty ignorant to it. I don't really do anything high tech. Watch movie downloads, play a few games, listen to music. Nothing too crazy.

What is the rest of your system specs?
Make sure you download the latest drivers for your video card. NVidia just released the Detonator 4 drivers version 21.81 which are fantastic on their newer cards. The next step up for you is the GeForce 2 MX but I don't know if that will give you that much improvement. You still need a fast CPU. If a TNT2 card was put in a new computer, it would lead me to believe the rest of your system is underpowered as well.

If I were to replace the above card, would I be able to place the old card in another computer? The card came installed in the computer I mentioned above so no software is available.

I have one in mine and although it was the hot ticket at the time its no longer the case.I do NOT however have any of the problems you describe and it still plays GREAT.Even with high end simulations like MS flight sim pro 2k and Mechwarrior4.I would consider that you may have another problem besides the video card. What are you running for directx?(what version?) Have you run any diagnostic tests i.e. "dxdiag"? What are your free resources at boot? Have you disabled the Antivirus when playing? It really should run just fine, there must be somthing else hurting you. jimi_l PS On a unrelated note, another Webmaster/Search engine optomization board I am a member on has implemented a voulantary change to all our Websites for the next 30 days. Please click the link(www.jlproduction.com) found in the header of this message,to view it and feel free to E-mail me any thoughts on this temporary change.... Thank you, Jim Layton

you need to install the latest 4 in 1 drivers from viahardware.com, get the new detonators, and the newest version of directX. It should be fine after that. There are some bios settings to look at as well like ensuring that your agp slot s set to 4X, agp aperture size 256, etc...the card will always be a bottleneck so if you still don't get what you need out of it after doing the above, spend the $100 for a GeForce2GTS from pricewatch.com. Note that even with the new card, you still need to do the above steps...
