I passed through dozens of errors from the VMM and also some more nasty, but somehow i've always found the answer except for this. I have a PIII 1gHz with Win ME. A GeForce 2 MX video card and a laser optic mouse or whatever you wanna call it. Logitech. Anyway i get the following error you know with the blue screen when playing mostly Baldur's Gate II. After say 5 minutes or sometimes less time of play. Its either that error or suddenly turn off and reboot of the machine... weird .... somehow in spanish but you get the details in the middle Excepcion OE en 0028:C0029EDA en el VxD NTKERN (01) + 0000B16A .... bla bla ..... 0028:C002DEE5 en el NTKERN (01) + 0000F175 i had this message when i installed it with the latest patch of the game and also with the mod from teambg, called the Darkest Day and its updates, still getting it after some mintues of playing .... i don't know from where it comes i thought it coud be the laser mouse so i put a normal random one with ball but it stills puts is up, i also got the lastest Detonator from Nvidia installed to update the GeForce drivers but nothing, i'm thinking it must be the video card since i played the same game on my other computer with a Diamond Stealth video card and never got the problem ... i don't know... you tell me! please!!!

Try this post, point 8, first http://www.computing.net/windowsme/wwwboard/forum/18106.html If that alone does not cure the vxd problem, then try point 10 (updating your 4 in 1 drivers) The other points greatly help to run games well in ME as well. :)

My Father has a similar problem... An Nvidia Chipset Graphics Card, and a Logitech Optical Mouse, but with an AMD 1300Mhz CPU. He didn't install the Logitech software, and has had this Problem since installing Win98. Still dealing with the random lockup's, and it always comes up as an "NTkern.vxd" blah blah error ZarK
