Ok, I'm having trouble with Norton Internet Security 2003. It has more or less affected a lot of my internet using programs. Let me explain.

It has started when my norton live update expired. I didn't renew it since i was thinking of upgrading to 2004. In any case, the more i waited to resign up for live update, the more norton had crashing problem. At some point the firewall stop working all together and then it was the antivirus's turn.

But then, my msn started getting the dreaded 0x81000363 error. I looked on many sites and found a lot of ideas to fix it but none of them worked. Not only that, i cannot access my hotmail account or my school's internet site to check my grades. It seems from what i see it has to do with SSL, since both hotmail and my school uses it. In any case, from then on, all the programs i installed would no longer work on the net. For example, i updated my Shareaza and it stopped working. Same when i tried to use other net browsers to access hotmail. They all couldn't access the net, like i wasn't connected. So i decided to uninstall my norton.

So i boot up the uninstall and it ways that i need to have supervisor power to remove it. So i'm like, maybe it's the other profile I have that can do it. So i use it and it still says i need admin powers. So I tried to recreate a admin user profile without success. I also tried to use uninstallers, but Norton is protected from any removal.

Can anyone help me fix this?

Yes i tried using the add/remove program, it only boots up norton's uninstall which doesn't let me do it.

Go to the Symantec Website. Use their support area to get the removal tool for your Norton product. You will need to download it. You can run it from your computer, or a floppy or cd if you need to go that route.

Thanks capt, it worked.

For anyone else who could have the problem, here is what i done.
I first downloaded RnisUPG.exe, ran it and restarted comp.

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/949e46314f0916a0852565d00073bbfd/23bda5412ae1a49688256abe00615e20/$FILE/ATTKLEXN/RnisUPG.exe

Then i downloaded Rnav2003.exe, ran it and restarted again.

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/consumer/Rnav2003.exe

Now up until know, everything seems okay. So ty again capt, i was starting to get annoyed by this problem.
